What we Believe

Our beliefs are firmly rooted in God’s Word and centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ, guiding our life together as a local church.

Core Doctrines

The foundational beliefs that guide our faith and practices.

We believe that there is one true God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in glory, power, and essence, coexisting from eternity to eternity.

Scripture References:

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He existed eternally as God and, in time, was born of the Virgin Mary, taking on perfect humanity while remaining fully divine.

Scripture References:
  • John 1:1
  • John 1:14
  • Colossians 2:9

We believe in the completed and accomplished work of Christ, including His incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection, ascension, and His promised return as the Bridegroom of the Church and King of kings over all nations.

Scripture References:
  • 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
  • Acts 1:9
  • Revelation 19:16

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, who works on the earth to convict sinners, regenerate those who believe in Christ, dwell in believers, and build up the Body of Christ for growth and maturity.

Scripture References:
  • John 16:8
  • Titus 3:5
  • Ephesians 4:13

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, complete and sufficient for faith and practice. Through it, God speaks to us, instructs us, and nourishes us spiritually as we read, study, and delight in it.

Scripture References:
  • 2 Timothy 3:16
  • Psalm 12:6
  • Matthew 4:4

We believe that salvation is fully provided by God through Jesus Christ. When a sinner repents and believes in Christ, they receive forgiveness of sins, justification before God, and new life in Him.

Scripture References:
  • Ephesians 2:8–9
  • Acts 3:19
  • Romans 5:1

We believe that the Church is the one Body of Christ, composed of all true believers. We uphold the biblical testimony of one city, one church, recognizing all believers in Kampala as members of the one Church in this city, rejecting sectarian and divisive expressions.

Scripture References:
  • 1 Corinthians 12:13
  • Ephesians 4:4–5
  • Revelation 1:11

We believe that every believer in Jesus Christ is born again by the Spirit of God, becoming a child of God and a member of the Body of Christ. Believers are called to live a holy life, to grow in Christ, to walk by the Spirit, and to function in love for the building up of the Church and the testimony of Jesus.

Our Mission and Vision

Every local church is called to set forth a clear vision and mission that guides believers in their walk, and function in the Body of Christ, so that they may grow in maturity, serve one another, and fulfill God’s purpose on the earth. Proverbs 29:18
